At the beginning of the year 2010, the MBS AG, ‘Sulzbach Messwandler’ has inaugurated in their product range a new current transformer.
This latest current transformer, type CTB, incorporates not only a higher maximum operating voltage (Um < 1,0 kV) but also an increased isolation test voltage (6 kV Ueff, 1 min., 50 Hz) as well as an increased ambient temperature range (-5 °C < T < +50 °C).
The new CTB’s connection is arranged with a "cage clamp ®".
The production of the new current transformer is in accordance with the technical characteristics corresponding to DIN EN 60044-1, DIN VDE 0414, part 1 and DIN 42600.
UL Certification applied: Certificate Number - 20100426-E336996.

WSK Wound current transformer
Wound current transformers for primary nominal currents from 1 A up to 150 A, secondary nominal current 5 A, 2 A or 1 A, accuracy classes 0.2, 0.5s, 0.5 and 1, with primary winding and primary connector terminals instead of a continuous bus bar.
KBR KBU Split core current transformers
Split core current transformers for primary nominal currents from 100 A up to 5000 A, secondary nominal current 5 A, 2 A or 1 A, accuracy classes 0.5 and 1.
The split measuring system facilitates a simple, subsequent installation into already existing panel boards without additional mounting requirements. For the installation the locking mechanism of the current transformer is to be opened and placed around the primary conductor and audible locked, ensuring that the circuit is closed. Once the secondary conductors are connected, the unit is ready for operation.
KSU SUSK Summation current transformer (KSU/SUSK)
Summation current transformers for primary nominal currents of 5 A or 1 A, secondary nominal current 5 A, 2 A or 1 A, accuracy classes 0.2, 0.5 and 1. The numerals following the letters indicate the quantity of how many primary circuits can be connected. Up to 8 connections are possible.
NH Current transformers for fuse rails (NH)
Current transformers for fuse rails for primary nominal currents from 100 A up to 600 A, secondary nominal current 5 A or 1 A, accuracy class 3.
Secondary connections in excess of 4 mm require jacks for direct mounting onto the contact rail of low voltage high performance fuses with contact knives integrated in the NH-fuse set, according to DIN 43620/1.
NH current transformers are fitted with 2 or 4 tip sockets and can be operated constantly under load.
Idling voltage at secondary primary nominal current 5 A approx. 3-6 V and a secondary nominal current 1 A approx. 13.25 V.
Available in 3 different sizes (NH 1, NH 2, NH 3)
.
